I know a lot of people have been waiting for this and now I’m happy to say that the Holden Cruze SRiV now comes with Sat Nav check of the info below from Holden.

  • Integrated satellite navigation now in production for Holden Cruze SRi-V
  • Enhanced voice control, text to voice functionality and Siri® Eyes-Free Integration now standard on every Holden Cruze hatch and sedan
  • New Model Year 2014 colours, Regal Peacock, Fantale^ and Prussian Steel now in production for Cruze

Holden’s range topping Cruze SRi-V sedan and hatch now offer buyers greater value with the addition of integrated satellite navigation.

Developed in conjunction with the new Holden VF Commodore MyLink system, customers taking delivery of a Cruze SRi-V from late-June production will now receive integrated navigation as a standard feature.

All new locally-made Holden Cruze variants also now offer voice control which is tuned to the Australian accent, as well as Siri eyes-free integration which enables compatible iPhone® owners to perform a number of functions in hands-free mode.

Like VF Commodore, Holden Cruze drivers can have their text messages read out to them while driving and depending on phone type, can reply via touch-screen or voice command.

Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Philip Brook said adding new technology to the Cruze made a great car even better.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the response to the engineering and technology updates we made to the Holden Cruze, since we launched it in March this year,” he said.

“At the time of launch we promised we would add navigation back to the range-topping SRi-V model as soon as we were able. The system has been introduced to VF Commodore which enables us to put it into production for Cruze as well.

“Through the development of the MyLink system in VF Commodore, we’re also able to add Australian-tuned voice recognition across the entire line up, adding world-class voice control functionality to the already-impressive MyLink in-car entertainment system.”

Just like MyLink in the new VF Commodore, the voice control in Holden Cruze has been enhanced with a system that has been tuned to the Australian accent to deliver high-accuracy speech recognition for Australian drivers.

Through voice control, Cruze drivers can select a music track, switch between embedded apps, listen and reply* to text messages, dial a contact, or via iPhone, instruct Siri to perform a range of tasks in eyes-free mode.

To activate voice control, the driver presses to push-to-talk button on the steering wheel and can state a number of commands including “navigation,” “play artist,” “dial,” “tune Pandora” or “read SMS.”

Satellite Navigation Key Features

Holden’s all new MyLink satellite navigation system has been designed to be easy to program and easy to read. Integrated voice control allows drivers to perform all major functions through voice command via the push-to-talk steering wheel button.

A high-clarity full colour mapping system offers turn by turn and audio route guidance, displays speed limits and includes points of interest.

MyLink navigation offers split-screen intersection views and split-screen zoom view with moving vehicle indicator that enables simple guidance through complex intersections.

Other features of the MyLink satellite navigation system include:

  • Touch screen keyboard to facilitate easy text entry
  • Isometric and 3D map views – map appearance can be customised to suit (2D North, 2D Direction or 3D Direction)
  • On-screen turn-by-turn and audio route guidance
  • Add/edit and detour stages allow addition of intermediate stages and detours to a trip
  • Simulate trip feature
  • Point of interest – navigate to the nearest service station, restaurant, Holden dealership, hotel, tourist attraction and more
